Fly Fishing Update
Fly fishing has been exciting this month, with fish showing more aggression compared to February. The best fly colors have been white, tan, and black, with 3-4 inch flies proving effective. Sight fishing for Redfish remains a top tactic, and the rising water temperatures have increased their activity levels. One unique occurrence this month was the arrival of sharks, adding an unexpected element to the inshore experience!

Light Tackle Update
Light tackle anglers have seen great success using 3-4 inch Z-Man soft plastics. Both artificial and live bait have been producing aggressive bites, with Redfish, Trout, and Black Drum feeding actively. While no specific technique stood out as overwhelmingly superior, covering more ground has been key as fish spread out from their winter patterns.

As we continue transitioning into spring, fishing in the Lowcountry will only get better. Warmer waters will bring even more opportunities for targeting tailing Redfish in the grass and getting after a variety of inshore species.
