Fly Fishing here in the Lowcountry of Beaufort and Hilton Head, SC has been my passion since I was a kid. There is no better feeling than combing the vast amount of shallow water flats, sight fishing for Redfish. Seeing the fish, making the cast, and watching the fish inhale your fly in just a few inches of water is what I live for as a Fly Fishing Guide. Beaufort County makes up 25% of the east coast marshlands and provides an unreal habitat, which is not only beautiful, but also an amazing fishery. In addition to guiding, I have been a professional casting instructor/fly tier for many for many local fly shops over 8 years and welcome all levels of anglers. Whether your new to salt water fly fishing or have been doing it for 25 years, I will cater to your specific needs for the most productive, memorable, and enjoyable experience here in Lowcountry.

We have a year round fishery for Redfish here in Beaufort and also have other seasonal fish including: Cobia, Tarpon, Jack Cravelle, Triple Tail, Speckled Sea Trout, Flounder, and other salt water species we target on the fly. As a Beaufort fly fishing guide, I custom tie all of my own flies with patterns I have evolved specifically for fishing in the area. I will also provide all the tackle from top brands including: Nautilus, Waterworks-Lamson, Hatch, Rio, and Scientific Angler. We are mostly fishing 7wt, 8wt, and 9wt Rods for Redfish with a WF floating line for shallow water sight fishing. Bringing your own gear is also welcomed!

Here in the Lowcountry, we are fishing the ever changing tides and constantly adjusting to the elements for some of the best Redfish fly fishing on the east coast. I target Redfish during low tide year round, which always offers great opportunity when guiding in the shallow water, mud flats in search of schools of Redfish looking for bait. Flood Tide Fishing for Redfish is also one of my favorite ways to sight fish here in Beaufort and Hilton Head, SC. From mid March until the end of November we get higher than normal tides, which push Redfish into the short spartina grass flats in search of fiddler crabs. There is nothing better than watching a Redfish tail during a flood tide! There are also numerous other options for fly fishing in between tides.
